It's almost as if the wig conferred on her a youth and beauty, maybe even talent, that she wouldn't have without the wig.

The Thiller TV series only aired for a couple seasons in the early 60's but it was excellent quality and holds up to modern viewing. There are some truly terrifying episodes.....There was one with a house full of haunted mirrors that is really scary.....This wig episode is fine, but not one of the best ones....

“Thriller” is an absolute classic. When I was a kid, it was “must see TV.” My favorite episodes were “Pigeons from Hell” and “Cheaters.”

I love Boris Karloff, he's an amazing actor, and human being (I've read that he consistently helped kids that were scared, he'd go get them and walk to the set with them). It's hard form me to watch the series because of the blasting string section blowing me out of bed every 10 minutes. If you doubt me, play one for yourself and listen. The minute they take a break the volume goes from 3 up to 11. If you put the volume down so the orchestra doesn't make your ears bleed, you can't hear their voices. I love them though, thank you for posting.

Don’t really understand the “transition” between the supposedly “frowsy old bag” pre-wigged Sheila and post-wig Sheila. She doesn’t look any older beforehand - other than the hair color change she’s identical - her skin is perfect and unlined. If the script had made her older than just 38 they could’ve used subtle aging making for the Before look. Later when Herbert tries to warn her about the wig she asks him if she should remove her wig so that she looks like she did before wearing it and he looks frightened and says no. Don’t get it. And what a shame that the gorgeous and elegant Pamela Searle had such little screen time

She wasn't ugly before the wig so why did the woman towards the end say she was ugly and the wig turned her pretti?
